1940s original 2-piece playsuit. The outer layer is a rayon woven taffeta. The inside under shorts are a knit fiber, most likely a cotton blend.
This is easily the most iconic garment from the pin-up girl history. Intended for casual summer leisure wear. If you've seen pictures women would send to their boyfriends during WWII in skippy clothes, this is what they are wearing.
