Iconic slip dress from the late 1940s. Embroidered floral details in the neckline. The smocking detail would have had to be done by hand. It is said to resemble honeycomb. This is a really early piece for the fiber(nylon) having been invented in the same year. Rare and highly sought after.

Sizing notes: the smocking textile manipulation makes this garment stretchy. Will fit a range of sizes. It is modeled on an xs bust 34; it is too big for her in the bust.
Measurements:
- Bust: 36-43
- Waist: 25-30
- Length 43
- Estimated size: One size fits many. Medium-large fitted or a small with a bigger cup size
Condition: Fair. There are a couple loose smocked bits, and a couple minor snags, see last couple pictures. It is not noticeable when on because of how busy the midriff is. Condition is considered when pricing and sold as-is.
